Mining

With 28 years in the business and 15 years onsite at Highland Valley Copper, Harrison Industrial Contractors, Ltd. provides complete electrical solutions for new and existing mining installations. We have the experience and resources to handle major shutdowns under tight timelines with confidence and efficiency. Our years of experience servicing, upgrading, and maintaining industrial electrical systems and our on-hand inventory mean that whether we’re troubleshooting or repairing a failing system, improving lighting or an electrical service, or building new, we’ve done it before and we have what the job needs.

Institutional

We have performed critical operation switchgear replacements including paralleling gensets at regional hospitals. The extreme nature of these projects requires the hospitals to remain operational throughout the project. Our high level of expertise, knowledge and management allow us to execute the completion of these jobs with complete confidence. In any critical care situation, we have the team that can manage the job from beginning through to completion.

Municipal / Maintenance

Our project team has the ability and experience to maintain municipal infrastructure and buildings. This has been a core service of the company since 1985. We have the necessary equipment and manpower with the unique skills to maintain pumping systems, substations, building infrastructure, traffic & controls, lighting, entertainment facilities, and an authorized power smart installer. Maintenance and upgrades on these municipal systems are an important factor in the infrastructure sustainability of a community.

Project Execution:
Most of our staff has been working together at Harrison Industrial for at least 15 years. We’re a team. As a company and as individuals, we are dedicated to providing our customers with the highest levels of professionalism, technical expertise, and customer service. We do what is necessary to complete your project to specification, on time and on budget.

We typically have between 30-40 individual staff, and we can bring on additional help as needed.

Cooperation with the Owner and Engineer:
Since its inception in 1985, Harrison Industrial Contracting Ltd. has developed strong, cooperative relationships with many engineering firms and business owners in the City of Kamloops. A few of those firms are Stantec / Urban System, EMPAC Engineering, the City of Kamloops, NewGold and Highland Valley Copper.

We look at these firms and others like them as extensions of our team: both sides know the ability and commitment of the other, so cooperative projects go smoothly and without surprises.

SAFETY
Safety is foremost at Harrison. We constantly review and promote safety practices and culture to ensure that safety is built in to our daily activities. In the field, our construction site project team is expected to be a role model for safety at all times.

Harrison Industrial Contracting Ltd. believes that all reasonable measures should be taken to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace. Our Occupational Safety and Health Program is designed and enforced to establish work attitudes and procedures that maximize work site safety.
